This partnership brings together the world’s number one professional services firm and one of the world’s top-ranked athletes, united by a mindset that never stops challenging.

At just 23 years old, Wiffen has already carved out a place in history. A world champion and the first Irish male Olympic gold medalist in swimming, he recently clocked the second fastest 1500m freestyle time in the world this year at the Irish Open finishing more than thirty seconds ahead of the field. And he’s not slowing down.

Wiffen’s training program integrates a suite of performance tools including 3D motion tracking, biometric analysis, velocity and acceleration data, and machine learning. It’s a feedback-driven system where nothing is left to chance, every decision is made based on measurable evidence and informed iteration.

The announcement was marked by a virtual announcement to over 3,000 Deloitte staff across Ireland, a lunch session with Deloitte’s AI and Analytics leaders, and a roundtable interview with Irish and UK media outlets. Wiffen and some of the data team also discussed insights on how precision analysis can shape progress, from body position underwater to distance per stroke.

The partnership aligns with a pivotal moment in Wiffen's career. With the World Championships in Singapore just weeks away, he is in peak preparation mode. That event will likely serve as a key platform for his next world record attempt.

His long-term goal is even more ambitious: to become a four-time world record holder and reach the pinnacle of the sport at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
